Overnight Lake trip

Take your longtail boat out to the floating raft house and check in to your simple, but comfortable floating bungalow on the lake. You can swim and kayak, directly from the deck outside your bungalow. Around 12.00, noon you will be served your Thai set lunch. After lunch your guide will take you on a trek through the forest to explore the caves of the lake. The trek will take around 2 hours and is suitable for almost all levels. Your guide will bring you to see either Tam Nam Lu Cave, here you will get wet, as the water can reach up to chest level, as you make your way into this cave. Or to the Diamond Coral Caves, these caves are filled with stalactites and stalagmites, truly an amazing sight. Please be careful in the cave and do not touch or break these formations, as they take centuries to form.

After your trek, you have time to relax, before enjoying your Thai set dinner in the peaceful surroundings of the lake. After dinner, your guide will take you on an exciting Night Safari, walking through the dense forest, on the look-out for the animals, which come out to hunt in the cool of the evening.

After your trek, you will return to your floating bungalow and enjoy a peaceful sleep, with only the noise of the lake and the wildlife, to send you to sleep.

Awake to the beautiful surroundings of the lake and take the long tail boat on an early morning boat safari to see, wild macaque monkeys, gibbons and if you are lucky dusky languor’s. The morning is the best time to see wildlife and birds, before the heat of the day.

Return to the raft house and enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast. After breakfast you can enjoy another trek in the dense forests, to a spectacular viewpoint, remember to take your camera. You can enjoy lunch back at the raft house before preparing your bags for the journey back to the resort or your onward destination.
