Directions from Krabi to Khao Sok

From Krabi, drive northwest on Thanon Phetkasem, also called Highway 4. Follow signs for Phang-Nga. After approximately 40 kilometers, you will arrive in Ao Luk. Keep driving straight on Highway 4 for about 30 more kilometers until your reach Route 415. Turn right onto this road. At the intersection, you will see a large gas station and a police building on the right. Continue north on Route 415 for approximately 48 kilometers. At the end, you’ll turn left onto Route 401. Continue driving for approximately 45 minutes until your reach the main entrance to the national park. The gate house will be on the right side of the road near kilometer marker 109.

The drive from Krabi to Khao Sok takes about 2.5 hours. If you would like to hire a private car, click here to make arrangements.

You may also travel to the Khao Sok National Park by bus. First, you’ll need to take the bus from Krabi to Takuapa near Phuket. Then, take the bus from Takuapa to Khao Sok. It’s important to note that the last bus departs Takuapa around 4 p.m. For safety and convenience, travel by bus is not recommended.

TIf you are traveling alone or with a group, a minivan provides service between Krabi and the national park. The minivan departs from a station outside of Krabi daily at 10 a.m. For convenience, it’s best if you reserve your spot through your hotel.
